How much of your story do have to tell in order for it to resonate with your audience? No matter where you are in your career, Jane Jankovic, TVO’s Executive Producer for Documentaries, notes that brevity will always be a challenge.

Jane’s advice:

  • Be succinct in your filmmaking,
  • elements, like strong story beats, will keep the audience sticking with your documentary,
  • and zeroing in on your documentary’s story will help you avoid going off on tangents.
